Turning Old-Timer Sayins' into a T-Shirt Line

We love using idioms from centuries ago, like Hold Your Horses. A few years back, we met a friend from Germany, who was perplexed as to why these English sayings (and probably why we were still using them!) existed. We thought it would be fun to illustrate these idioms in a literal interpretation; similar to how our friend was interpreting them and hence a t-shirt line was born.

So what does Hold Your Horses mean? What we do know, is that this phrase dates back to the 1800s in the United States from the command to bring a horse to a stop or to keep a horse still; which was a common need when traveling by horse or horse-drawn carriages. But there are so many definitions that we could go on for days...but today, it's a command to chill out, relax, and be patient.
